It has been an outstanding first few days at Hendricks Elementary School. All the fourth grade teachers can tell that it is going to be a great year. The Fourth Grade Newsletter will be sent home on a weekly basis. These newsletters will provide information about what your child will be learning in the upcoming week as well as spelling words and specials schedules. The newsletter will be available to you on the blog each week. As the year progresses, please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Follow the links below for some great resources to use over the next few months as you help your child prepare to "show what they know" this April.

Good afternoon 4th Grade Families! We have had another successful week at Hendricks Elementary. We have a lot of exciting things coming up. Next week, we will take our first field trip to the Cobb County Youth Museum. Lunch will be served before we depart. From October 15th to the 19th, our school will celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Look for more information about this event soon. Conferences will be scheduled from October 22nd to the 26th. Students will dismiss two hours earlier than usual on these days. Scheduling information will be sent home next week. Finally, go ahead and mark your calendars on November 3rd from 11:00 to 2:00. Hendricks Elementary will be celebrating their National Blue Ribbon Award by holding a Blue Ribbon Festival! Hendricks Elementary School received some exciting news today. We have been named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. This is a huge honor - only seven other public schools in Georgia received this status for 2012. Thank you to all the families who came to Open House last night. The event was a huge success and we look forward to continuing to work with each and every one of you in the future. We have a new name and new paint in the building! We also have kindergarten and 1st grade at our school now. The fourth graders have been excellent examples for the younger students in the hallway!
